בהמשך לדיווחים על פשיטת-רגל קרובה של חברת מאלב, הוציאה החברה הודעה מיוחדת לעיתונות:

The minister for national development recently gave a detailed briefing on the heritage and situation of Malév, in which he emphasized that the state remained committed to seeking a solution to the problems of Malév. He said that the national carrier played an important role in the Hungarian national economy, which is why - in its dealing with Malév - the government was proceeding bearing this in mind and with an awareness of its responsibilities. However, in the light of frequently contradictory press reports on this issue, we consider it important to stress that events taking place at ownership level do not affect the day-to-day functioning of the airline. The owner continues to guarantee the conditions necessary for the company's smooth operation and Malév remains dedicated to providing quality services for passengers flying to the carrier's more than 50 destinations in Europe and the Middle East.
We are confident that our partner relations will remain successful in the future, too.
